Welcome

Welcome to this library of yoga practices!

This batch of classes (over a dozen!) ranges in intensity, moods, and intentions to support your needs in the moment. From bite-sized to substantial, they vary in length to fit into your schedule.

Find vigour in building strength or stillness that helps you to deeply rest. Or go beyond yoga and try one of the bonus meditation practices, which includes a guided body scan and sound bath meditation for you to soak in (aurally, that is).

It is always my goal to create practices that meet you where you're at, using all the tools we've got. May you find what you need here.

Enjoy,

Adrienne

Your Instructor

Course Creator Adrienne Shum

As a career yoga teacher for over a decade, Adrienne practises and presents yoga as a structure for cultivating deeper gratitude, intelligence, and generosity. Her yogic studies are complemented by certification in Functional Range Conditioning and studies in anatomy, somatic regulation, Ayurveda, and Zen Buddhism. Her quest is to support her community in personal and collective well-being.

The Teaching Approach

Adrienne offers yoga and meditation practice as a way to wake up to ourselves and our world by exploring what it means to be human. With curiosity and compassion, she tailors these online classes to suit being in one’s own body and space, where we have the potential for greater stability when turning our attention towards what is arising.

All classes emphasize working with the mind by tuning into the body and breath - active classes offering more physical challenge and quieter classes soothing the nervous system by creating moments for pause.

Throughout, Adrienne weaves in wisdom of yoga, functional movement, somatics, Buddhist principles, and street smarts. The goal is to create a well-rounded experience for you to integrate into your own unique life.
